Comfortable Deluxe King Room with good amenities. Breakfast offered a solid variety of options, including homemade jams, and the bar had a respectable selection of real ale.

We initially had a noisy room with sounds from music and conversations late into the night, which impacted our sleep. Water pressure in the bathroom was low, and the noise from the kitchen was bothersome enough to shake the bed. Traffic noise was also noticeable, especially from front-facing rooms, suggesting the need for better soundproofing.

Had a great time with friends! We enjoyed our stay, especially relaxing on the patio with stunning views. We played tennis nearby and explored some beautiful hikes in the area. Breakfast was plentiful, and the staff were friendly. Just a heads up, the parking can be steep if you have a low car, but overall, a fantastic experience.

The spacious Deluxe Family Suite offered an incredible experience with exceptionally comfortable beds and lovely decor. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring craveable salads and delightful homemade jam. The location is perfect for those traveling with dogs, and the outdoor space is a great addition. the bathroom shower could use improvement, and the lack of elevator access may pose issues with mobility challenges.

Loved our stay here. the gorgeous decor and that lovely patio made our evenings so relaxing. We enjoyed some time on the sun terrace and made use of the cozy lounge area, which was a nice bonus. The only thing was it got a bit warm at times, but overall, it was a fantastic experience! 😊

I spent 4 nights here and the room felt so fresh and new! Loved that it’s dog friendly, though I wish they'd chosen a better carpet color for pet owners. Breakfast was delish, especially the full English! The only bummer was a slight smell in the bathroom, which definitely needs a bit of a freshen-up.

Great spot for food lovers

The staff here are super friendly. I indulged in their smoked haddock risotto with this crazy soft poached egg on top-honestly, it's like magic, one of the best things I ever ate!

It wasn't exactly cheap, but honestly worth every penny.

Oh, the sweet biscuits were absolutely divine—perfect with a cuppa! The meals at the restaurant were excellently presented and delightfully cooked, making for a proper feast. Plus, the decor was top-notch, creating a lovely vibe for dining.

We did have a bit of a kerfuffle with the noise from the busy road. thankfully, we just shut the windows and all was rosy again.

easy access to derwent water and beautiful park views

I loved being able to stroll to Derwent Water, which was just over 4 km away, and enjoy the charming gardens around it. The peaceful atmosphere made this hotel an ideal base for explorations while the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

Absolutely loved the deluxe king room—super comfy and spotless! The decor was a delightful surprise, not what you'd expect from a three-star place. Can't wait to return for another luxurious escape!

The only downside? I left wondering how to sneak the bathtub home! It was almost as great as a spa day.
